Solving Homelessness

Solving Homelessness

Let’s take this moment to invoke the Presence of Spirit.

It’s goodness, its light, its consciousness and its atmosphere of peace.

There is only one mind, one Source, and one life,

And that is life as a Spiritual Being, As a loving Being.

I affirm that we all come from this one source.

We are inseparably one with the infinite Presence and Power.

I now speak my word for myself and for all.

As I align myself with the consciousness of compassion.

I set an intention of promoting safety and security in my community.

I envision universal education, employment, personal security, and affordable housing.

I am open to the idea of supportive housing that includes services that address mental health, disability, substance abuse as well as other issues.

I am open to an Interfaith Alliance that co-develops tiny home villages, using church lands, crowdfunding, governmental grants, and private grants.

I affirm that each city sees the value and quickly approves unique zoning permits for each village.

I replace fear with faith and disagreement with agreement.

I believe that urban faith communities help solve homelessness with the recognition that tiny home villages occupy just one-third of an acre.

I support the idea that Interfaith Alliances solve homelessness by getting this idea in front of hundreds of congregations.

I understand that we are all in this together for the safety, health and well-being of our community.

I appreciate the value of every individual to the completeness of the whole.

I am able to handle tension in life-giving ways.

I have a sense of my own personal value to the whole.

I have the capacity to create community.

I am able to discuss difficult issues around religion, sexuality, public policy, housing and political climate with grace.

I embrace race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexuality and housing status, with income and wealth inequality by recognizing and helping to create a more equitable and just society.

I have a deep knowing that God is within me and is always with me in my life.

I envision a broad, inclusive vision of the world with flexibility in considering other points of view.

I embrace a generous sharing of resources.

I remain flexible and adaptable.

And with the spirit of oneness, I seek to make this world a better place.

So, it is with a grateful heart, that I express overwhelming thankfulness for my own sense of peace, love,  kindness and  compassion in my life.

And so it is.

Amen

Celebrating the Earth

Celebrating the Earth

Let’s take this moment to invoke the Presence of Spirit.

It’s goodness, its light, its consciousness and its atmosphere of peace.

There is only one mind, one Source, and one life,

And that is life as a Spiritual Being. As a Loving Being.

I affirm that we all come from this one Source.

We are inseparably one with the infinite Presence and Power.

I now speak my word for myself and for all.

As I align myself with Spirit in Nature.

I resolve to get out in nature and explore a corner of the earth that I have not visited before.

I join more than one billion people in one hundred and ninety-two countries, who now take part in what is the largest civic-focused day of action in the world, Earth Day.

I acknowledge the interdependence that exists among human beings, other living species and the planet we all inhabit.

I see environmental rights as human rights.

I resolve to do right by our youth by making sure that the Earth we are given is habitable.

I honor water reclamation plants and material recovery facilities.

I not only see America as the land of the red, white and blue, but also the land of the green.

I acknowledge in ways big and small, that Americans in all fifty states are finding inventive solutions to make the environment and sustainability a part of their lives on Earth Day and every day.

I surround myself with the energy of Nature.

I recognize, respect and protect the interconnected energy that exists with Nature.

I make time to be in Nature.

I appreciate that plants provide me with oxygen, while pulling carbon dioxide and pollutants from my air.

And, I recognize that the beauty of Nature brings me peace.

So it is with a grateful heart, that I express overwhelming thankfulness for the Beauty, the Peace, the Joy and the purity of air that Nature provides in my life.

And so it is.

Love as Safety

Love As Safety

Let’s take this moment to invoke the Presence of Spirit.

It’s goodness, its light, its consciousness and its atmosphere of peace.

There is only one mind, one Source, and one life,

And that is life as a Spiritual Being, as a Loving Being.

This universe is the glory of God. It is a moving, flexible, fluidic creation.

It is alive with life, abundance and all the richness of God.

I express the deep knowledge that God is within me, and

We are all inseparably one with the infinite Presence and Power.

I affirm that we all come from this one source.

I now speak my word for myself and all,

As I align myself with Spiritual Law of Love.

I commit to the unique journey that turns the problems and conflicts that inevitably arise in relationships into opportunities for deeper connection.

I release unnecessary habits of violating other groups, individuals and unwanted parts of my own being.

I leave the fortress of aversive judgment, and enter the unexplored realm of my embodied being and encircling this life with love.

I commit to knowing and revealing myself, and release the need to hide, protect, or defend – or to blame others.

Together, we pull on a thread that promises to unravel all the layers of protection that keep us isolated and disconnected.

I imagine being so undefended that I have no need to pretend, cover up, or arm myself against perceived threats.

I imagine being free to love and express my heart without fear.

I explore a new kind of love, a love that is not burdened by the host of selves that are designed to keep us safe and separate from each other.

I find a way to cut through personal differences with others and reach that direct, unmediated, heart-to-heart connection that can only occur when my heart is undefended.

I choose the transformative path that guides me beyond close, companion-based partnerships toward intimate relationships, where each moment is a fresh, spontaneous expression of who I genuinely am.

Part of my process is to unlearn old learning that no longer serves me.

In order for me to move forward in my life, I make room for new ideas and discard what is no longer a truth for me.

I now embrace ideas that develop my individualization in the Allness of Life.

So it is with a grateful heart, that I express overwhelming thankfulness

For my own self-learning, for safety in love, for kindness and for compassion in my life.

And so it is.
